What is Tan Icon?

Should I schedule my manicure before or after my spray tan?

 

Before. Soaking, scrubbing, steaming, exfoliating, nail polish remover, drying agents, and finally, the lotion and oils that you can come into contact with at the nail salon will wreak havoc with your airbrush tan.

How long will my tan last?

Your tan will last between 6 and 12 days, depending on how you care for your skin. Starting the day after you get your tan, we recommend moisturizing daily to extend the life of your tan. You’ll want to avoid exfoliating, taking long hot baths or showers or your tan will fade more quickly. Additionally, you want to avoid extended time in chlorinated pools and hot tubs, as they will bleach your tan very quickly. Avoid moisturizers with mineral oil and petroleum oil.

How should I prepare to get the best results?

Shower and exfoliate the skin beforehand. Ensure your skin is free of all lotions, oils, gels or any other products (including foundation if you want your face tanned) that may create a barrier. Wear loose dark clothing and sandals for at least 2 hours after your tan, or it may develop very unevenly. Wait for 6-8 hours before bathing (overnight is best), avoid perspiring to allow the solution ample time to react with the proteins in your skin. When you wake up you will have a beautiful tan!

What should I wear?

If you are a woman, you may wear your own undergarments or swimwear (we recommend older/darker undergarments), If you are a man, we require briefs or bathing suits.

How long does the process take?

It takes about 20 minutes to spray tan your entire body. You’ll dry off using warm and cool air for an additional 8-10 minutes. The entire process takes less than 45 minutes.
